ArmInfo. The final anniversary event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Charles Aznavour was held at UNESCO headquarters, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MOESCS) of the Republic of Armenia. The concert program was titles "Une vie d'Amour," featuring a selection of favorite, familiar and unfamiliar songs by the great chansonnier.
The event featured speeches from Deputy Minister Daniel Danielyan, Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Armenia to UNESCO Aram Hakobyan, Deputy Director-General of UNESCO Xing Qu and President of the Ambassadors of the French-speaking countries of UNESCO Isabelle Devigne. They highly appreciated and emphasized the role of Aznavour - a chansonnier, artist and public figure - in the development of world music and the promotion of universal human values.
The concert attended by UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture Ernesto Ottone, Assistant Director-General for Education Stefania Giannini, ambassadors accredited to UNESCO, invited guests, French senators, the Deputy Mayor of Paris, the Mayor of Valence, representatives of state and local authorities, and representatives of the Armenian community.
