Armenian Ombudsman reports violations of rights of ethnic Armenians detained in Baku at Human Rights Watch office

ArmInfo. Armenian Ombudsman  Anahit Manasyan met with Lucy McKernan, Deputy Director for UN  at  Human Rights Watch office in Geneva.

According to the press service of the Ombudsman's Office, the parties  discussed a number of issues related to the protection of human  rights. Anahit Manasyan also addressed the processes concerning to  ethnic Armenians detained in Azerbaijan. She noted that these issues  pose challenges in terms of upholding human rights, emphasizing the  urgent need for the release of these individuals.  It is noted that  the interlocutors also discussed the opportuniry of enhancing  cooperation in the protection of human rights.
