ArmInfo. The Administrative Court of Armenia has determined that the dismissal of the executive director of the Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS), Anna Yeghiazaryan, on February 8, 2024, and the appointment of an unqualified individual to the role, were unlawful.
As noted in the statement of the ARCS received by ArmInfo, a number of experienced specialists left the organization due to these illegal actions, resulting in significant weakening of the organization's functional capabilities. Additionally, it is reported the State Supervision Service of Armenia identified these violations, which were reported to the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Health and Labor Inspectorate of Armenia. ARCS Chairperson Anna Yeghiazaryan, who was removed from her position a year ago, noted that the court's decision was a turning point in resolving the prolonged management crisis and reinstating legality within the organization. According to her, the beneficiaries were the most affected from this decision, as they lost access to essential services, causing harm to the ARCS's .reputation.
