We can`t take the institution called a guarantor seriously after the  events of 2020-2022 - Pashinyan

ArmInfo. After the events of September 2022 in Armenia, are we still serious about the so-called institution of the guarantor? We had a guarantor, then what happened?  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview with PTA,  when asked about the necessity of  having a guarantor for the peace  process with the Republic of Azerbaijan .

. When we say, we immediately go back the fourth  century, the third century, I don't know... We don't need to go to  the fourth century, the third century. We can learn more from recent  events: 2022, 2021 or 2020. In other words, I am saying that there is  one guarantor of Armenia's security, and that is the Republic of  Armenia itself. Armenia is fully capable of coexisting peacefully  with its neighbors without needing external assistance and external  interference,> he noted.  According to him, there is no more  effective tool to guarantee security than peace; there  simply is no  such tool.
