13,500 servicemen certified in Armenia in 2024

ArmInfo. During 2024, 13.5 thousand servicemen passed certification in the country's armed forces. This was announced on March 21 at a meeting of the RA  National Assembly Committee on Defense and Security Issues by RA  Defense Minister Suren Papikyan.

According to him, 57% of those certified successfully passed all  exams. As a result, the salaries of servicemen who passed  certification increased from 205 thousand drams to 470 thousand  drams. At the same time, for contract servicemen who continue to  serve despite the retirement age, their military pension has been  retained.

As part of the army rearmament program, agreements were concluded  with both residents and non- residents. In total, units of the  country's armed forces took part in 7 military exercises.

It should be noted that after the presentation of the minister's  report, the commission meeting was held behind closed doors.
