Armenian MP calls on reporters to boycott Andranik Kocharyan

ArmInfo. Gegham Manukyan, a member of the National Assembly of Armenia from the opposition faction "Armenia", has called on the journalistic community to  boycott the activities of the Chairman of the NA Committee on Defense  and Security Andranik Kocharyan and all those MPs who express  solidarity with him.

At the meeting of the committee on March 21, Manukyan noted that  another shameful incident had occurred in the corridor of the RA  National Assembly the day before. In particular, the chairman of the  committee Andranik Kocharyan insulted a female journalist, which,  according to the oppositionist, is unacceptable. "This incident  should be responded to. I regret that none of the women from the  ruling Civil Contract faction responded to this incident in any way,"  Manukyan said.

He also called on journalistic organizations to respond to this  incident. "Enough of sitting with our mouths shut, enough.

Tomorrow, such incidents will lead to even more sensitive  consequences, up to bringing the country to a totalitarian state,"  the MP emphasized.

In turn, Andranik Kocharyan noted that in his response to the  journalist, he pointed out the need to be honest when using words. He  emphasized that he repeated what Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan said.   "Whatever you imagine in this, it is your problem. I meant the need  for a pure word," he said.

It should be noted that yesterday, during a conversation with  journalists in the National Assembly, Andranik Kocharyan insulted  Tribune.am journalist Hripsime Jebejyan.
