Eastern Partnerhsip important factor in jointly responding to  challenges - Armenia diplomat 

ArmInfo. Armenia's envoy to the EU has attached importance to the Eastern Partnership (EaP) as a framework that has significantly contributed to the country's  democratic transition and strengthening of bilateral cooperation with  the EU, Armenpress reports, quoting Tigran Balayan, Armenia's  Ambassador to Belgium and the EU, as stating a high-level meeting of  EaP in Brussels.

The officials discussed the draft EaP 2025-2027 working plan which  Armenia has endorsed.Ambassador Balayan said the EaP is an important  format for jointly reacting to common challenges and ensuring  peaceful resilience, combatting disinformation, strengthening trust  and development of the civil society."Armenia is convinced that it is  time to end regional conflicts and establish peaceful co-existence  for future generations. The EU can use its soft power to make sure  that regional programs are inclusive and don't leave out any country.  For example, the Black Sea submarine cable project, which can become  a new platform of regional cooperation," he said. 

Speaking about interconnectivity, Ambassador Balayan mentioned the  Armenian government's Crossroads of Peace project. "Armenia's  Crossroads of Peace initiative, which is based on the principles of  sovereignty, security, reciprocity and equality, can have a key role  in strengthening regional ties and cooperation," Balayan said.Armenia  is ready to host EaP events and will soon make proposals, the  Ambassador added.
