Moscow promptly requested information from Yerevan about US plans to transfer military equipment

ArmInfo. Russian Foreign Ministry  spokesperson Maria Zakharova has commented on media reports that the  US will temporarily transfer military equipment from Germany to  Armenia.

<We have seen these publications and promptly requested information  from our Armenian colleagues. In the preliminary plan, we were  informed that no such official requests had been received from  Washington,> Zakharova said at a briefing on March 20.

As the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted, if this  information is confirmed, it will become a destabilizing factor for  stability and security in the South Caucasus. <This will also be an  attempt to bring confrontational schemes to the region that were  developed by the collective West in the Euro-Atlantic region. For our  part, we continue to proceed from the fact that the current issues of  the South Caucasus countries should be resolved among the regional  leaders themselves,> she said, adding that Moscow will monitor this  issue.
