ArmInfo. On March 18, Alexey Sandikov and Kristine Vardanyan, members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia held a virtual meeting with representatives of the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
As reported by the press service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alexey Sandikov expressed hope that this meeting would contribute to the intensification of cooperation between young legislators of the two countries. The deputy mentioned that the Armenian parliament is implementing various programs such as "Open Lesson", "Familiarization Visit", and "NA Summer School." He also noted that students studying at various universities in Armenia have the opportunity to undergo an educational internship in the legislative body.
First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, and Coordinator of the Chamber of Young Legislators Alexander Varfolomeev emphasized the importance of interparliamentary cooperation. He expressed hope that the participation of young people will continue to contribute to this process, noting that Russian young legislators actively interact with their counterparts from different countries.
Chairman of the Chamber of Young Legislators, Leo Zakirov, presented the structure of the Chamber and the programs being implemented. Vice President Albert Gevorgyan spoke about the "Same Channel" project. Both parties expressed their readiness to cooperate in implementing new initiatives.
