ArmInfo. The development of a feasibility study for the construction of the Surmalu metro station will be put out to tender in the near future. This was announced at a meeting of the Yerevan Council of Elders on March 18 by Aneta Babayan, Advisor to the Mayor of the capital.
According to her, a professional group has already developed the technical specifications for this program. Babayan expressed hope for the completion of the feasibility study for the project by the end of this year. At the same time, an investment program for the construction has been developed, which has been submitted to the RA government for discussion regarding its financing.
At the moment it is unclear where exactly the Surmalu metro station will be located and how much the project will cost. It is assumed that it will be located between the two existing Sasuntsi David and Zoravar Andranik metro stations, providing access to two shopping centers, Surmalu and Petak. This will help relieve traffic congestion in this area.
