ArmInfo. The Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem is persistently presenting new demands to Armenia to normalize relations. As reported by Haqqin.az, Omer Celik, the Deputy Chairman and Official Representative of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Parti), has stated that Turkey will expedite the process of normalizing relations with Armenia once Azerbaijan's conditions are fulfilled.
Omer Celik explained that this refers to amendments to the Constitution of Armenia and the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group. He emphasized the importance of officially dissolving the Minsk Group, which "in fact no longer exists and has not contributed to the settlement of the conflict." At the same time, he noted that finalizing negotiations on the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia is an important stage for the South Caucasus.
According to local media, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Head, Jeyhun Bayramov, also presented a list of demands including changes to the country's Constitution, the elimination of alleged "revanchism", and a halt to weapon purchases. The Azerbaijani government is also continuing efforts to resettle Azerbaijanis in Armenia, who had previously left Armenian territory and received compensation from Armenian authorities. Moreover, the number of people resettling is significantly higher than the number of those who once lived on the territory of the Armenian SSR.
