ArmInfo. The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, believes that by not recognizing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Armenia risks being "left behind" in international law.
<All those forces, parties and politicians who have said and will say that Armenia should not recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, are essentially saying that Armenia should not recognize its own territorial integrity, that Armenia should constantly fight with at least two of its neighbors, exclude the Republic of Armenia from international law and remove the Republic of Armenia as a subject from all possible negotiations. This opens the door for third forces to penetrate our country. Paves the way for the abolition of the independence and statehood of the Republic of Armenia,> Simonyan wrote on the social network.
The NA Speaker reminded that the Republic of Armenia is located <in the center of four well-known countries>, with a territory is 29,743 square kilometers. In case of non-recognition of one of these four borders, it also risks <not recognizing its own existence>. P.S.: <By the way, not a single government of the Republic of Armenia has ever stated that it does NOT recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,> Simonyan concluded.
