ArmInfo. Yerevan is not discussing the issue of amending the Constitution of Armenia with Baku, as stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in an interview with journalists on March 13.
According to Pashinyan, it is clear that the Constitution of Armenia, especially in the light of the decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, does not include territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Furthermore, Yerevan believes that it is actually the Constitution of Azerbaijan that contains territorial claims against Armenia.
<However, amidst all these perceptions, there is now a new reality: the presence of an agreed draft peace treaty. This document addresses the existing concerns,> he said, emphasizing that Yerevan will try to talk to Baku on this issue to understand the reasoning behind its position during the upcoming discussions. At the same time, Pashinyan admitted that Baku had previously stated that it <sees a problem in this>. <We said that we do not discuss internal issues with Azerbaijan,> the RA Prime Minister said.
