Armenia, sister of France, must not be forgotten by international  community - French official

Dinner of CCAF (Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations de  France) in Paris.

An opportunity for Mourad Papazian and Ara Toranian, co-presidents of  the CCAF, to share their concerns with us. Indeed, 110 years after  the Armenian Genocide of 1915, the integrity of Armenia is threatened  by Azerbaijan. In addition, following the invasion of Artsakh in  September 2023 by Azerbaijan and the displacement of 120,000  Armenians, 23 Armenian dignitaries have been imprisoned by the  Azerbaijani government including Ruben Vartanyan and the former  President of the Republic Arayik Haroutiounyan who have since  experienced a simulation trial. Their release is urgent.

The occasion also during this evening to reward Laurent Wauquiez ,  Franc?ois-Xavier Bellamy , Raphael Glucksmann, Nathalie Loiseau for  their unwavering support to Armenia.

The current and former military-political leadership of Artsakh was  taken hostage following the Azerbaijani aggression against the NKR on  September 19-20, 2023. For the second year in a row, in the face of  inaction by the international community, dozens of Armenian citizens  are illegally detained in Azerbaijan, subjected to cruel and  degrading treatment, torture.
