ArmInfo. On March 11, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs Heriknaz Tigranyan met with the Director of the House of Hope Charity Center Foundation Movses Poghosyan and the Programme Coordinator of the Foundation Hripsime Manukyan.
They presented the work and charity programmes of the organization, which has been operating for more than three decades, as well as detailed the upcoming activities of the Creation of a Network for Displaced Women with Disabilities and with Their Participation programme, implemented with the financial support of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ).
The Project Coordinator Hripsime Manukyan presented the work, goals and expectations related to the progress of the Programme.
According to the programme, the network is an informal platform created on a voluntary basis, which unites displaced women with disabilities, as well as their supporting organizations, individuals and groups, to contribute to the socio-economic, cultural and public development of target women inclusion in other spheres of life, ensuring equal opportunities, as well as having an improved legislative framework in this regard.
It will serve as an environment where, through voluntary investment, cooperative programmes will be developed, experience exchange and mutual assistance will be carried out aimed at solving the problems faced by women with disabilities.
The necessary documents have been developed for the creation of the network, and 11 organizations are already involved in the partnership network, which have agreed to become members of the network. A memorandum has also been developed, which will be signed between member organizations.
Heriknaz Tigranyan positively assessed the organization's charitable work, noting that the programme is not new for the organization, since they have been carrying out this work for a long time. "With this programme, you simply ensure continuity," she said in this context and emphasized in her speech the importance of proper awareness of the programme, as well as the involvement of young people in volunteer work. At the same time, she expressed her willingness to assist in the issue of legislative regulations, if necessary.
