Touching upon the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Mirzoyan emphasized that the parties are very close to finalizing the drafting and then sign the peace treaty. He called the signing of this document one of the strongest pillars of the peace and stability in the South Caucasus. The Minister emphasized that the peace treaty will complement other tricks, negotiations and agreements that already exist with Azerbaijan. As an example, he recalled the signing and ratification of the regulations of the works of border commissions working on the delimitation of the border between two states several months ago.
<And also I can our proposed to Azerbaijan, the proposal regarding the joint mutual arms control and verification mechanism. So all these tools can help us to establish lasting, long-lasting peace in our region,> the head of the MFA said. He also drew attention to the fact that a number of agreements with Azerbaijan were reached through direct bilateral negotiations. <And hopefully we will get there soon,> Mirzoyan said.
