ArmInfo. The Armenian government will donate land plots with five buildings on Khachatur Kecharetsi Street, 1 with a total area of 2.94152 hectares to the Tsaghkadzor community. This decision was made at the meeting of the RA government on March 6.
As Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan noted in his speech, it is planned to build an administrative building of the city administration, a public park, a theater and a car park on these sites. The Tsaghkadzor community, being a tourist center, still does not have a public park. The territories of the community, on which its construction is possible, are already private property. Meanwhile, the state territory adjacent to the Kecharis monastery complex, located at the address: Kotayk region, Tsaghkadzor community, Khachatur Kecharetsi street, 1, which is of historical significance for the local population, occupies an area of 2.94152 hectares. Previously, a boarding school was located on this territory, which has not been functioning since the 1990s. There are 5 buildings on this territory that are in emergency condition and unsuitable for operation. It is planned to dismantle the existing buildings and build two buildings up to 3 stories high on the site. The first building will serve as the administrative building of the Tsaghkadzor municipality, and the other building will serve as a theater. The buildings are planned to be built in accordance with international standards. The city administration building is also planned to house a citizen service office, a conference hall where meetings of the Council of Elders, as well as other meetings of public, state and international importance will be held. Parking for 110-200 cars is planned to be built in the basement of both buildings and in the courtyard area, which will also help relieve traffic on the central streets of Tsaghkadzor. On the remaining part of the territory, landscaping works are planned, a park, paths, a playground and a bicycle path, an open stage for holding cultural events will be created.
The park is planned to be built on an area of about 2 hectares, which will occupy 70 percent of the total area of the land.
It will include various plantings and water areas: pools, cascades, fountains. The project is planned to be implemented at the expense of the community's own funds.
In addition, the community will be given a building with an area of 339.66 square meters on Orbeli Eghpayrneri Street 9, in which the city administration will continue its activities until the completion of the program.
In connection with the presented draft decision, the RA Prime Minister pointed out the importance of the project, which is primarily designed to improve the image of Tsaghkadzor. Against the background of the investment program for the construction of a ski resort in the Epipatrush community, where the work has so far been carried out at a level of 1%, the role and significance of the enlarged Tsaghkadzor community is significantly increasing. The Prime Minister called for attention to be paid to other settlements in the region, including Aghavnadzor, which is still undervalued, although it is a magnificent place in itself.
