ArmInfo. An ambulance hospitalized the leader of the "Country for Life" party Mane Tandilyan, who has been on a hunger strike in Yerevan's Freedom Square since March 1 in protest of the trial of former Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan in Baku. This was reported by an ArmInfo correspondent who witnessed Tandilyan's hospitalization.
On March 1, Tandilyan announced the start of a hunger strike demanding that Ruben Vardanyan, who is in a Baku prison and has been on hunger strike for 14 days in protest of the judicial arbitrariness taking place in Azerbaijan, stop his action.
This is the second time that Tandilyan's condition has deteriorated sharply. On March 4, she managed to avoid hospitalization. There are no details yet about the reasons for the hospitalization of the leader of the "Country for Life" party. Let us add that on March 4, the Armenian Ombudsman's Office issued a statement, reporting that human rights defender Anahit Manasyan and representatives of her office visited citizens who are on hunger strike in support of Armenian prisoners of war held in Baku. Meanwhile, Armenian media reported today that Mane Tandilyan refused to meet with Anahit Manasyan.
ArmInfo was unable to verify the veracity of the information, since Tandilyan was hospitalized and could not be interviewed.
