As reported by Tasnim, Mahmoud Heidari, an assistant to Foreign Minister and Director General of the Department of Mediterranean and Eastern Europe of the Iranian Foreign Ministry reminded Turkey that it is necessary to avoid making inappropriate comments that may ignite disagreements or tensions in the bilateral relations, considering the delicate regional conditions and the mutual interests of the two neighbors.
The Iranian diplomat described Israel's constant acts of aggression and expansionism as the biggest threat to regional stability and security. "Major Islamic countries are expected to focus their efforts on stopping the Zionist regime's crimes and aggression against the oppressed people of Palestine and other regional nations, including Syria," Heidari said. For his part,, Kirlangic emphasized Turkey's policy of maintaining and expanding friendly relations with Iran. The ambassador said Ankara and Tehran need to work in close cooperation to promote the bilateral relations, strengthen regional cooperation, and counter existing threats.
