Armenian NGOs to deliver letters to the Armenian MFA and Swiss  Embassy regarding the concerning situation of Armenian prisoners in  Baku

ArmInfo.Representatives from about 40 non-governmental organizations in Armenia will deliver  letters to the Armenian MFA and the Swiss Embassy on March 4 in regarding the concerning situation of Armenian prisoners of war and civilians being held in Baku.

As stated in the message received by ArmInfo, today, a demand action  will take place at 3:00 PM local time outside the MFA of Armenia, and  then the NGO representatives will proceed to the Swiss Embassy.  "The  letter addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan,  urges him to use the mechanism for ensuring consular access  to  Armenian prisoners in Baku, facilitated through third countries It  requests that Armenia seek the assistance of a neutral third country,  particularly the Swiss Confederation, to enable consular access for  all Armenian prisoners, and provide emergency medical aid to Ruben  Vardanyan," the statement says.

The letter is addressed to the President of Swiss Confederation,  Karin Keller-Sutter and  requests the Switzerland to ensure Armenian  prisoners have access to  consular services.
