Pashinyan, Schoemaker discuss COP17 conference 

ArmInfo. During a meeting with Astrid Schoemaker, Executive Secretary of the UN Convention on  Biological Diversity, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted  that the visit would provide an opportunity to discuss the progress  of organizing the COP17 conference in Armenia, scheduled for 2026.

As reported by the press service of the Armenian government,  Pashinyan emphasized  the importance of active cooperation and  support for the effective implementation of preparatory work. He  stressed that the Armenian government would make every effort to  ensure the event is held in the best possible way.  Schoemaker, in  turn, expressed confidence that COP17 in Armenia would be held at a  high level, especially given the fact that the organization of the  event is coordinated by the Prime Minister's Office.
