Civil defense among major areas of ensuring state resilience -  minister 

ArmInfo. March 1 marks World Civil Defense Day. In this regard, Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan addressed the Rescue Service employees.

As reported by the press service of the Interior Ministry, in her  address, Sargsyan noted that World Civil Defense Day symbolizes the  important mission of states to ensure the safety of citizens. "This  day is of particular importance, emphasizing the indispensable role  of civil defense in our country, especially in the context of  increasing the level of protection of the population. Every day, the  Ministry of Internal Affairs pays special attention to the continuous  development of the civil defense system, as well as the development  of security capabilities and institutional potential. Civil defense,  being an integral part of national security, is one of the most  important areas of ensuring the sustainability of our state," the  address says.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that in the  new realities it is impossible to achieve a high level of public  safety without each citizen realizing their share of participation in  this matter, and this is precisely the formula for having a strong  civil defense system. "The culture of safety must become our way of  life. This is the key to success. On this significant day, I  congratulate everyone who, with their work and dedication, has made a  great contribution to the formation and development of the civil  defense system.  I also congratulate those who have just started  working with the system and realize the importance of its  development. May your high professional qualities, responsibility and  dedication continue to contribute to the sustainable development of  the civil defense system for the benefit of strengthening the  resilience of our state," Arpine Sargsyan noted.
