ArmInfo. The rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that as of the morning of March 1, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in Armenia. In particular, the roads leading from the high-mountain weather station "Amberd" to Lake Kari and the Amberd fortress are closed.
The Vardenyats Pass and Dilijan turns are closed for trucks with trailers, and the Berd-Chambarak highway is closed for all types of vehicles.
The roads from the villages of Noravan to Ltsen, Syunik-Shinuayr-Tatev-Goris, as well as the section called "Vardani Dzor" on the Meghri-Kajaran highway are difficult to pass for trucks with trailers.
There is icy conditions in places on the roads of the Alagyaz-Artik regions, the settlements of Gegharkunik and Syunik. There is fog in the highlands of Syunik region. It is snowing in Vanadzor, Goris and Kapan.
According to information received from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to all types of vehicles.
