ArmInfo.Chairman of the Board of the Civil Contract Party, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting of the party's initiative group on February 27.
As reported by the press service of the State Duma, a discussion of the draft ideology of real Armenia took place.
The report was made by the deputy from the Civil Contract faction Taguhi Ghazaryan, who also answered questions from the participants in the discussion.
Recall that in early February, at a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community of France, Pashinyan stated that an ideological transformation is taking place in Armenia and the existence of the Republic of Armenia in the short and long term depends on its success, our task is the longevity of Armenia as an independent state.
"We call this ideological transformation the ideology of real Armenia. The essence of this ideology is that Armenia is a state with an internationally recognized territory of 29,743 square kilometers, which has one task and one goal - to ensure the security, well-being and happiness of its citizens. The Republic of Armenia does not set any other goals for itself," Pashinyan said.
For the first time, Pashinyan advanced the idea of confrontation between <real> and <historical> Armenia on April 10, 2024 in the country's parliament, stating that <historical> and <real> Armenia are antagonists and pose the most serious threats to each other.
According to him, <historical> Armenia, willingly or unwillingly, echoes a number of countries that encroach on the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of real Armenia. In addition, the Prime Minister pointed out, historical Armenia not only guarantees eternal enmity with a number of countries, but also gives them a reason and grounds for an aggressive policy towards the Republic of Armenia.
It also makes <real> Armenia dependent on the <senior partner> and deprived of real independence, he noted. <Our vision of historical Armenia will always lead us into the trap of genocide, finding ourselves in which we will need a savior and patron, without whom we cannot exist. The fear of genocide will keep us in the status of an outpost. "And the outpost does not need territorial integrity, nor borders, nor sovereignty. It only needs a patron," Pashinyan said then. A day later, he called for recording the strategic impossibility of returning to the idea of historical Armenia.
