ArmInfo. The Unions of Theatre Workers of Armenia and Russia will cooperate in various areas of mutual interest. The memorandum of cooperation was signed on February 25 by the heads of the Unions of the two states - Vladimir Mashkov and Hakob Kazanchyan, the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation reports.
As noted in the report, in accordance with the memorandum, the Unions agreed to make every effort to develop cooperation. Among the main areas of interaction, the parties identified the exchange of experience, the organization of joint events, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, forums, festivals and master classes, the creation of joint creative projects, support for the professional growth of members of both organizations, as well as assistance in promoting projects created by the theatrical communities of Armenia and Russia. The signing of the memorandum should contribute to the further development of theatrical art in both countries.
During the signing of the document, addressing his colleague, Vladimir Mashkov said: "I am very glad that you came forward with a proposal to sign an agreement between the Russian and Armenian STDs. I understand that this union has never broken up. This is a great continuation of our close connection, absolutely inseparable."
The Chairman of the Armenian STD, in turn, noted that "this is a fair continuation of what was laid down by our outstanding predecessors - actors of both Russia and Armenia, of whom we were proud and who were an example for us."
"In Armenia, all professionals believe that the Russian theater school is the greatest in the world. I think that we are a happy generation because we have seen the friendship of Russian and Armenian theater figures. I remember how Kaplanyan was friends with Tsarev, how many times Lavrov and Efremov came to Yerevan. And now, in our difficult but interesting days, I am very glad that we will be closer friends with the Russian Union, create joint projects and visit each other," said Hakob Kazanchyan.
