ArmInfo. In Geneva, on the sidelines of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisogomonyan met with Costa Rica's Deputy Minister of Multilateral Affairs, Alejandro Solano Ortiz.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, the possibilities and prospects for realizing the potential of bilateral relations between Armenia and Costa Rica were discussed. Particular attention was paid to strengthening the existing legal framework between the two countries and developing economic relations.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the positive interaction between Armenia and Costa Rica within the framework of international platforms, agreeing to make efforts to further deepen them.
Abisoghomonyan presented the latest developments in the South Caucasus, as well as Armenia's vision for establishing stability and peace in the region.
An exchange of views on issues of mutual interest on the international agenda also took place.
Moreover, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia also participated and delivered a speech at the high- level event "Coalition for Internet Freedom" within the framework of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister drew the attention of those present to the high rates of freedom of speech and protection of human rights in Armenia, and the work carried out in this direction, and presented to the participants the work carried out by Armenia in the field of digital technologies in the UN Human Rights Council. In this context, the joint statement on digital technologies and the rights of women and girls initiated by Armenia and Estonia within the framework of the 58th session of the Human Rights Council was separately noted.
