ArmInfo. A single standard for the national anthem will be applied in Armenia. At the session on February 26, the Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia issued a positive conclusion on the amendments to the law "On the National Anthem" submitted by the NA deputies in the second reading.
As one of the co-authors of the document, Sisak Gabrielyan, noted in his speech, several proposals were received from the government for the second reading, which are not of a substantive nature, they are more related to the technical side of the issue. The bill establishes a single standard for the anthem in terms of its text, notes, duration and musical arrangement. The anthem of the Republic of Armenia should begin with the quatrain with which it began, and end with the second quatrain recorded in the text of the current anthem, that is, "... Let Armenia always win."
The deputy emphasized that the issue of the order and places of performance of the national anthem will be further streamlined by the second reading. In particular, separate appendices have been developed for each case of performance, whether accompanied by an orchestra or a choir. The presented bill also presents a short version of the performance of the anthem, especially during official ceremonies. For these purposes, a single standard will be applied. All versions will be posted on the official government website, and one of the versions must be used during official ceremonies.
