Law-enforcers find drugs in parcel 

ArmInfo. Employees of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia found marijuana in a parcel sent to the Republic of Armenia from the USA, the press service of the  department reports.

In particular, recently in the customs control zone of CJSC "Apaven  Terminal" a customs control of international courier shipments  imported to the Republic of Armenia from the USA through LLC "Trans  Shipping" was carried out, during which a specially trained dog of  the canine center-department of the Anti-Smuggling Department showed  drug identification and smelled drugs in the parcel addressed to A.G. 

As a result of the customs inspection, employees of the SRC and the  NSS, in addition to sportswear and shoes, found in the shipment 2  packages of narcotic substances of the "marijuana" type, wrapped in  silver adhesive tape, the weight of which was 920 grams. Joint urgent  operational and investigative measures and were carried out.  As a result, on Spandaryan Street in the city of Vagharshapat, a  citizen of the Republic of Armenia A.G. was detained on reasonable  suspicion of drug smuggling, and searches were conducted at his place  of residence. Based on the petition of the body conducting the  proceedings, by the decision of the Yerevan City Court of First  Instance, the accused was taken into custody within the framework of  the criminal case.
