Armenian NA speaker briefs Italian Senate committee on  Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process 

ArmInfo.Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan, who is on a working visit to Rome, took part in the hearings organized by the EU Policy Committee in the Italian Senate. The hearings, as reported by the press service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, were dedicated to Armenia.

The Speaker of the National Assembly presented in detail Armenia's  position on various current issues and answered questions of interest  to the Italian parliamentarians. The topics discussed included issues  related to the peace treaty with Azerbaijan, the "Crossroads of  Peace" project initiated by the Armenian government, Armenia's agenda  for European integration, and the priorities of ongoing democratic  reforms in Armenia. The issue of repatriation of Armenian prisoners  of war held in Azerbaijan was also discussed.
