ArmInfo. Garnik Danielyan, a member of the opposition faction of the National Assembly - , proposes to review the fines for driving without a compulsory motor third party liability insurance policy.
The deputy recalled that according to the current Code of Administrative Offenses, driving a vehicle without a MTPL insurance policy is punishable by a fine of 100,000 drams. A person who eliminates the violation within 24 hours after committing an administrative offense pays 25,000 drams.
Citizens are sounding the alarm that the administrative fine of 100,000 drams is quite a large sum for them.
It would be very logical if at least one warning was given before the punishment was imposed, and then a fine was imposed> - Danielyan wrote on the social network.
As the parliamentarian indicated, he addressed this question to the deputy chief of police in order to find out whether any discussions were underway to revise this approach.
