ArmInfo.In its actions to overcome existing challenges, Armenia is guided by the decisions taken by the Security Council of the Republic on the establishment of peace and good neighborliness in the South Caucasus. This was stated by the Ambassador of Armenia to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan during a reception on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic. This was reported by the Embassy of Armenia in the Russian Federation.
"Today, our country is facing complex challenges. However, we firmly declare consistent actions to restore a lasting and sustainable peace with our neighbors. And in these actions, we are guided by the decisions taken by the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia on the establishment of peace and good neighborliness in the South Caucasus," Arsenyan said.
During the reception, the military attache of the embassy Garegin Meliksetyan also spoke, touching upon current issues of the regional and global security system in the current realities, predetermining the necessity and urgency of existing and sought-after opportunities in the interests of creating an effective system of state security in the Republic of Armenia.
Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation of the Russian Defense Ministry Viktor Shevtsov also delivered a speech to those gathered at the event.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, ambassadors of foreign states accredited in Russia, military attaches, as well as the head of the Russian and New Nakhichevan Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan, vicar of the archbishop of the Armenian Catholic Church of Russia Protoarchimandrite Petros Yesayan and other guests.
