EU expert mission in Armenia to develop Visa Liberalization Action  Plan

ArmInfo.The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia hosted the EU experts' mission to Armenia  to develop the Visa Liberalization Action Plan (VLAP).

As reported by the SRC press service, the mission aims to assess  Armenia's overall state of readiness in the areas of document  protection, border management and migration, as well as to facilitate  the preparation of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan.

The EU partners were presented with the main strategic directions of  the SRC's activities in the field of customs administration, the  reforms implemented in recent years, the problems and development  prospects.

A number of issues related to the organization of border procedures  were also discussed during the meeting.

As part of the mission, the EU delegation visited the Bagratashen and  Ayrum border checkpoints to get acquainted with the activities of the  customs authorities on the ground. A visit to Zvartnots Airport is  also planned.
