ArmInfo. A meeting between the Ambassador of Armenia to France Arman Khachatryan and members of the France-Armenia friendship group in the Senate, headed by the Chairman of the group Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, took place in the upper house of the French parliament.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Embassy in France, during the meeting, Ambassador Khachatryan expressed gratitude to the French Senate, represented by Chairman Gerard Larcher, as well as to the members of the Senate for their constant attention to issues related to Armenia and the Armenian people, as well as for showing exceptional solidarity and constant support to the Armenian people.
The Ambassador of Armenia highly appreciated the adoption by the French Senate of a number of resolutions in favor of Armenia and the Armenian people, the organization of conferences and discussions, as well as the visits of the President and members of the Senate to Armenia during a difficult period for the Armenian people. Khachatryan touched upon the bilateral agenda of Armenia and France, in particular, regular contacts at the highest level, the dynamically developing strategic partnership between the two countries, including the expansion of cooperation in the fields of defense, economy and infrastructure.
The Ambassador of Armenia presented the approaches of the Republic to the establishment of a lasting and fair peace and stability in the South Caucasus, the normalization of relations with Azerbaijan and the signing of a peace treaty, as well as the development of the process of demarcation of the Armenian- Azerbaijani border and the unblocking of regional communications in the context of the Armenian government's initiative "Crossroads of Peace".
The members of the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the Senate, headed by the Chairman of the Group Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, reaffirmed the commitment of the Senate and the Friendship Group to further promote the strengthening of Armenian-French friendship and the development of Armenian-French partnership.
