ArmInfo. The Corruption Prevention Commission will be given the right to inspect the activities of the heads of investigative bodies of Armenia. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia adopted amendments to the law "On the Corruption Prevention Commission" and a package of related laws in the second and final reading at the plenary session on February 12.
According to Tigran Dadunts, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, this concerns the heads of investigative bodies (the Investigative Committee and the Anti-Corruption Committee) and their deputies. The commission will be given the right to initiate disciplinary proceedings against them if signs of violation of the rules of conduct appear. If these signs are confirmed, the commission's conclusion will be submitted to the government or the Prime Minister for a decision on bringing the heads of investigative bodies to disciplinary responsibility.
The list of heads of investigative bodies will also include the deputies of the Prosecutor General of Armenia.
