ArmInfo. The Armenian MFA discussed the implementation of the Armenia-EU Visa Facilitation Agreement and presented the consular functions carried out by the RA MFA and the Armenian embassies in foreign countries.
The working meeting was attended by the EU delegation and representatives from the Consular Department and the Department of Europe of the RA MFA. The EU delegation included representatives from the relevant EU directorates, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, as well as EU member states. They will be in Armenia until February 14 as part of the visa liberalization dialogue between Armenia and the EU.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the purpose of the visit is to conduct a general assessment of Armenia's readiness in areas such as document security, borders, migration management and other related fields. This assessment will help in developing an action plan for the visa liberalization dialogue between Armenia and the EU.
