ArmInfo. The Indian Film Festival, honoring the film-maker and actor of Indian and world cinema Raj Kapoor's centenary, has started in Yerevan. As reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MESC) of Armenia, during the festival's opening, Deputy Head of the MESCS, Artur Martirosyan, emphasized the significance of the multilateral cooperation between Armenia and India. He pointed out that the Indian Cinema Days have already become a tradition. He expressed hope that the festival would serve a basis for enhancing cooperation between filmmakers from both countries and result in the production of collaborative films.
According to MESCS, a photo exhibition dedicated to the activities of Raj Kapoor was held as part of the festival. The event was attended by the Ambassador of India to Armenia, Nilakshi Saha Sinha.
