Armenia`s ambassador to Iran, Iranian general discuss South Caucasus  developments 

ArmInfo.Issues of the Armenian-Iranian bilateral multi- sectoral agenda, as well as regional processes were discussed during the meeting on February 6  between the Ambassador of Armenia to Iran Grigor Hakobyan and the  Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Islamic Republic of Iran for  International Affairs, Brigadier General Mohammad Ahad.

As reported by the press service of the Armenian Embassy in the IRI,  Mohammad Ahad congratulated Grigor Hakobyan on his appointment as  ambassador and stressed that within the framework of the policy of  deepening relations with neighbors, the development of ties with  Armenia is of particular importance for Iran.

The high-ranking Iranian military officer reaffirmed Tehran's clear  and unwavering position on the territorial integrity of Armenia.

In turn, Hakobyan presented to his interlocutor the efforts of the  Armenian government aimed at regional peace and stability, and noted  that in this context, further deepening of relations with neighboring  and friendly Iran occupies a special place.
