Iranian Ambassador expresses Tehran`s attitude towards  EU mission in  Armenia

ArmInfo. The Iranian Ambassador to Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani, has expressed Tehran's attitude towards the EU mission in Armenia. Touching upon this issue at a press conference in Yerevan, the diplomat noted that the EU mission is not a military one, and the Armenian government has stated that they were deployed to maintain stability and prevent tensions.

 <This is understandable and acceptable to us. We respect the policy  of the Armenian government to diversify its relations. Armenian  authorities have stated that developing relations with the EU and its  members can create opportunities for the development of  Armenian-Iranian relations. If Armenia can strengthen its ties with  European countries and leverage them to enhance Armenian-Iranian  relations, we will view this positively>, Sobhani added.
