Moscow hopes for a positive resolution regarding the Russian House in  Azerbaijan`s capital

Moscow expects that the issue with the Russian House in the capital of Azerbaijan will be  resolved in a positive way, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on February 6 at a weekly briefing.  The diplomat confirmed that the Azerbaijani side had sent a notification to the Russian Federation regarding the closure of the Russian House.

<In response, the Russian side has expressed its readiness to take  the necessary actions to complete the registration of the Russian  House in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of  Azerbaijan,> she noted.  Zakharova emphasized that the Russian  authorities have proposed discussing this issue <through diplomatic  channels within the framework of relevant consultations>.  <These  proposals were also sent in writing to the Azerbaijani side.  Therefore, we expect that this issue will be resolved in a positive  way," said the official representative of the Russian Foreign  Ministry.
