Primakov confirms: Azerbaijani authorities demanded closure of   Rossotrudnichestvo representative office 

ArmInfo.The Azerbaijani authorities have indeed demanded the closure of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the country. This is due to the lack of legal registration, as confirmed by the head of the department, Yevgeny Primakov, on the air of "Russia 24".

"Our Russian embassy in the Republic of Azerbaijan, our  representative office, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been  appealing to the Ministry of Justice, to the Ministry of Foreign  Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan for years requesting assistance  with registration. We have always been ready to do this, but our  calls have remained unanswered," he said, RIA Novosti reports.   Primakov added that Azerbaijan has always had the final say on the  operations of the Russian House in Baku.

Earlier, Report reported, citing sources, that Baku had officially  notified Russia about the termination of Rossotrudnichestvo agency's  activities in the country.
