ArmInfo. There can be no peace absent accountability - a reckoning with Azerbaijan's crimes, the release of Armenian hostages, the removal of Azerbaijani forces from Armenia and the return of Armenians to Artsakh. This is how Aram Hamparian, the Executive Director of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), commented on the statement by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about his readiness to abandon international accountability for Azerbaijan's war crimes.
"Every unilateral concession by Pashinyan to Azerbaijan invariably leads to renewed Azerbaijani demands by for yet more unilateral concessions - a relentless cycle of surrender that cedes even more Armenian soil, security, and sovereignty," Ambaryan emphasized, whose words are quoted on the ANCA Twitter page (X). Note that the Armenian Prime Minister, in an interview with the Senior Director of the Atlantic Council's Eurasia Center, touching on the withdrawal of mutual claims from international courts, expressed his willingness to do so, with the condition that this issue is abandoned in bilateral relations.
