ArmInfo. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) participated in the preparation of coups d'etat in countries around the world, providing assistance in promoting democracy. This was written in his Telegram channel by the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
The head of the Russian legislative body drew attention to the fact that the new US leadership is disclosing details of the activities of the Agency for International Development - USAID.
He recalled that, according to the charter, USAID should support the economy, healthcare and education, as well as provide emergency humanitarian aid.
According to him, in fact, the Agency has turned into a real criminal network, with offices in more than 100 countries and an annual budget of 50-60 billion dollars.
"Preparation and organization of coups d'etat in countries around the world by funding projects and programs aimed at training civil activists, election observers, and journalists. Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela - this is far from a complete list of countries that have suffered from such assistance in "promoting democracy," Volodin noted.
He emphasized that USAID has spent more than $2 billion for this purpose on the former Soviet republics over the past 10 years, with "52% of this amount going to Ukraine."
The legislator also noted that, according to published data, hundreds of thousands of dollars were transferred by USAID to organizations associated with terrorists and militants, including those from Al- Qaeda, which is banned in the United States and Russia, to finance research in the field of biological weapons, equipment and fertilizers used to grow poppies and produce heroin.
In addition, billions were spent on promoting the topic of transgender transition, abortions, and the racial- gender agenda.
"Using soft power technologies, alien values have been imposed on the world for decades, positive images have been created for absolutely unnatural processes. In a word - dehumanization.
Today, the headquarters of the Agency for International Development, located in Washington, is closed. The question of liquidating USAID is being considered. Now it is important that those guilty of the crimes committed are punished and that such things do not happen again," Volodin summed up.
