ArmInfo. The Corruption Prevention Commission will be given the right to inspect the activities of the heads of investigative bodies of Armenia.
The RA National Assembly Committee on State and Legal Affairs issued a positive conclusion on the amendments to the law "On the Corruption Prevention Commission" and a package of related laws in the second and final reading at its session on February 5.
According to RA Deputy Minister of Justice Tigran Dadunts, in this case we are talking about the heads of investigative bodies and their deputies. The commission will be given the right to initiate disciplinary proceedings against them if signs of violation of the rules of conduct appear.
If these signs are confirmed, the commission's conclusion will be submitted to the government or the Prime Minister for a decision on bringing the heads of investigative bodies to disciplinary responsibility.
The list of heads of investigative bodies (Investigative Committee and Anti-Corruption Committee) will also include deputy prosecutors general.
