ArmInfo. The head of the Armenian Cabinet Nikol Pashinyan attended a reception organized by the organization in Washington in honor of the Prime Minister's visit.
As reported by the press service of the head of the Armenian Cabinet, the co-chair of the International Religious Freedom Summit, member of the board of the organization Sam Brownback welcomed the visit of the Prime Minister of Armenia and emphasized the organization's commitment to supporting the Republic of Armenia in advancing its programs. He noted that the goal of is to unite Christian leaders and other interested groups in providing assistance to Armenia.
The reception was attended by the co-founder of the organization Robert Nicholson, a number of diplomats, public and political figures.
In his speech, Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked for organizing the reception and noted that the most effective way to support Armenia from the US point of view is to include peace in the South Caucasus in the list of priorities of the US political elite.
"Because, of course, we promote freedoms, including freedom of religion, but you know that the best tool for protecting people's freedoms is stable peace, because a conflict environment is the most suitable environment for violating all possible human rights.
This is the reason why we are now focused on the peace agenda, because we believe that only having a stable peace in our region can guarantee a proper environment for democracy, protection of human rights and development of Armenia," he said.
