Delegation of Turkmenistan visited the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia

ArmInfo. During the period of January 31 - February 2, 2025, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan A. Serdarov paid a working visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

During the visit, which took place upon the invitation of the leadership of the ruling party of this country - Prosperity Party, the Turkmen delegation participated in the Second Congress of the party held in Addis Ababa.

The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, who delivered a congratulatory speech at the event, informed the participants about the ongoing political work of the party. In addition, the head of the Turkmen delegation invited the Ethiopian side to consider the possibility of establishing and further developing ties between the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan and the Prosperity Party of Ethiopia.

The delegation of Turkmenistan had a short meeting with the leadership of the Prosperity Party on the margins of the Congress, during which the Turkmen side congratulated the receiving side on the success of the event.

During the visit, the Turkmen delegation also met with the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Mesganu Arga Moach. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the development of the partnership ties between Turkmenistan and Ethiopia and accelerating the bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, the State Minister received an official invitation of the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan to the upcoming Forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust addressed to the President of Ethiopia.

During the visit, the Turkmen delegation was received by the President of Ethiopia Taye Atske Selassie. At the meeting, greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were conveyed to the President of Ethiopia.

In return, the President of Ethiopia expressed his deep gratitude for the warm greetings and wishes addressed to him and asked to convey friendly regards to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

President Taye Atske Selassie also expressed gratitude to the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the invitation to the International Forum.
