Armenian determined to establish peace and stability in region -  Armenian diplomat

ArmInfo. Armenia is determined to establish peace and stability in the region, making constructive efforts in the ongoing negotiations. This was stated by  the Ambassador of Armenia to France Arman Khachatryan during his  speech at a gala reception dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the  formation of the RA Armed Forces in Paris.

As reported by the press service of the Armenian Embassy in France,  Khachatryan noted in this context that in order to establish a fair  and long-term peace, it is important to strengthen the defense  capabilities of the Republic and in this context expressed his  gratitude to the authorities of friendly France for their strong  commitment to supporting Armenia and constantly expanding cooperation  in the field of defense.

Referring to the Armenian-French friendly relations and the currently  transformed strategic partnership relations between the two  countries, the Ambassador recalled the heroic episodes of close  cooperation between the two peoples during the First and Second World  Wars, including the participation of soldiers of Armenian origin in  the French Resistance movement.

At the same time, congratulating on the 33rd anniversary of the RA  Armed Forces, he noted that the Armenian army embodies the  determination of our people to defend the Republic of Armenia and its  right to exist as an independent and democratic country. He  emphasized that from the very beginning of its formation, the  Armenian Armed Forces have been of decisive importance in maintaining  the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia.

The event was attended by high-ranking officials of the French  presidential administration, the ministries of foreign affairs and  the armed forces, members of the National Assembly, members of the  Senate, mayors, ambassadors accredited in France, military attaches,  representatives of the Armenian clergy of France, as well as public  figures and representatives of the Armenian community in France.
