ArmInfo.Tbilisi once again expresses its readiness to contribute to strengthening peace and stability in the region, which is a prerequisite for prosperity, peace and stability, as stated by the head of the Georgian government, Irakli Kobakhidze, during a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on January 30.
According to Kobakhidze, Georgia and Armenia are connected by long-standing ties of friendship and partnership. This relationship has evolved into a strategic partnership between our two countries, which is crucial for the security, prosperity and sustainable development of the entire region. The Georgian Prime Minister emphasized that the 14th meeting of the Armenian-Georgian commission on economic cooperation today was effective and fruitful. He highlighted the importance of regularly holding such meetings to further expand bilateral cooperation and achieve common strategic goals.
"We can take care of our common interests and national interests together. Developments between our countries are also a precursor to global events, and our cooperation is vital in this regard," he said. As Kobakhidze pointed out, it is very important for parties to respect each other's strategic interests, sovereignty and territorial integrity. "And I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Armenian friends for defending our territorial integrity and sovereignty at the highest level," he stressed. The Georgian Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of bilateral economic and trade relations.
"We are very pleased with the positive trends in this area. The economic and trade sectors also have development potential and we will try to maximize this untapped potential. This was also discussed at the commission meeting," he noted. In conclusion, the head of the Georgian government noted that the partnership and friendship between Yerevan and Tbilisi have a very solid foundation. "We are dedicated to making more significant efforts to enhance these relations for the benefit of our countries and people," he concluded.
