ArmInfo. Armenia is interested in unblocking all communications and infrastructure in the region, as stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a joint briefing with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, on January 30.
He noted that Yerevan recognizes the significance of the "Crossroads of Peace" project initiated by Armenia, which holds promising prospects for Armenia, Georgia and other countries in the region. Yerevan considers it necessary to ensure inclusivity in certain projects, and in this context Pashinyan once again reiterated Armenia's willingness and interest in joining the Black Sea Submarine Cable project. According to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the strategic partnership between Armenia and Georgia approved last year gave a new impetus to the interstate relations between the two countries. Pashinyan expressed confidence that through collaborative efforts between the governments of Armenia and Georgia, mutually beneficial and multi-sectoral cooperation will continue to grow without any restrictions.
In this context, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the importance of the intergovernmental commission meeting held today. The meeting addressed current and future programs in various areas of cooperation such as transport, communications, energy, tourism, agriculture, ecology, healthcare, culture, education, and science. "I would like to note that the fraternal relations between the two countries are based on solid real foundations. Armenia and Georgia both uphold each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty. We respect each other's positions on different issues and priorities, striving not to harm but to support each other in advancing our interests. Equally important is the fact that our nations share common cultural and traditional values, which strengthen the unwavering friendship between our countries. Economic cooperation is a vital component of bilateral relations, further strengthening the bonds between our states," the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia stated.
