ArmInfo. From February 1, 2025, citizens of Armenia will be exempted from the annual fee of 3,000 drams for activating an electronic signature, reports the office for the implementation of electronic governance infrastructure.
The statement emphasizes that the purpose of this initiative is to facilitate and encourage citizens to obtain and use electronic signatures when accessing public and private digital services, including when declaring the annual income of individuals. "For citizens who have not paid for and activated the electronic signature within the specified period, the electronic signature will be activated automatically. Citizens do not need to take any additional actions to activate the electronic signature," the office states. Nothing is mentioned about the already paid fees.
Citizens of Armenia must submit an income tax return to the tax authority by May 1 of this year. At the same time, to submit them electronically, you must have an identification card and an electronic signature on hand.
