ArmInfo. Moscow notes good progress in Armenia- Azerbaijan border delimitation and demarcation process. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told journalists on January 29, RIA Novosti reports. He noted that Russia welcomes the agreements between Baku and Yerevan to initiate the process of delimitation and demarcation, starting from the intersection of the borders of the two countries with Georgia and moving southward. "Very significant progress has been achieved. Part of the border has been delimited and demarcated.
Now, as far as I know, they (Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafayev - ed.), recently met and agreed to start the process of delimitation and demarcation, they will begin from the north and move southward, starting from the intersection of the borders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia," Overchuk said.
"We have always welcomed this kind of contact and joint work because it will undoubtedly contribute to the stability in the region," he added.
